I recently spent several weeks on a hiking tour in Israel: desert, mountain, city concrete. For at least 12 hrs/day, every day, for more than 3 weeks, these boots were the only footwear I used. Not one blister, no calluses!! I wore a lightweight wool hiker sock and was not overly hot in the desert(@+38C). The grip was very appreciated mountain climbing and on the mountainous shale. The grip and waterproof leather allowed me to walk confidently over rocks in a stream and through 3-4" of water. Walking for hours on concrete sidewalks was just as comfortable. I had spent a lot of time selecting what I hoped would be the right footwear. I found this one immediately comfortable - and it is still perfectly comfortable! I can't say enough about this boot! Don't waste your time looking elsewhere!
